Our Annual Markets

  • Valentine's Week —Sexy Time

In partnership with PGH Vintage Mixer, we host an annual vintage, adult-themed pop-up during Valentine’s week! Shop local vintage, lingerie, pleasure products, artwork, and more. Embrace all things kitschy, kinky, and sex-positive!

  • June — Pride Market

Each June, the Queer Craft Market at Union Project celebrates LGBTQIA+ creators and community. Featuring handmade goods and local talent, it’s a vibrant space to shop, connect, and honor pride, creativity, and the spirit of belonging.

  • December — Winter Bazaar

This December, we welcome the winter season by bringing together LGBTQIA+ artists, makers, and creatives. With handmade goods and local talent, it’s a heartwarming space to shop, connect, and celebrate chosen family.

Help Us Help Queer Artists

We offer sliding-scale table fees and make sure no one is turned away for lack of funds. We also offer snacks and drinks to our vendors and handle any marketing and promotion. If we're able to fundraise over the top of our goal, we can start working on some more projects we've been hoping to start, micro grants for local queer artists to pick up supplies, and more!

faqs

  • We will announce when applications are open on our Instagram, mailing list, and here! We strive to have applications open for a week to ten days, and applications come about four to six weeks before a market.

  • Follow us on Instagram and join our mailing list! We'll let you know about markets as soon as we know.

  • We do our best to bring a good variety to the market! We accept about a third to half new vendors and will let you know how many vendors we are accepting for each market. We generally receive about twice as many applications as spots and we're so sorry we can't bring everyone in! We try to rotate artists in high-saturation categories, so you might not make it in every round.

  • We operate under a sliding scale/no one turned away for lack of funds policy. We'll let folks know a suggested table fee in the acceptance email but there's no pressure to pay. We do some fundraising/sponsorship to help offset these costs.

It Takes A Village

Co-organizers Katie + Jeffrey - whose friendship actually began when they shared a table at the first Queer Craft Market - have been leading the charge since 2021. They believe in fostering intentional, diverse, and accessible spaces where LGBTQIA+ makers can showcase their work, grow their craft, and build community. With the ongoing help of volunteers, artists, and community members, they’re proud to push the needle forward for queer futures in Pittsburgh, PA.
